Draft for Review & Legal Notice

This document represents an operational policy draft prepared for Fihri Education Limited to establish institutional standards and transparency. It does not constitute formal legal advice. Fihri Education recommends periodic review by a qualified Hong Kong legal practitioner or privacy specialist.

1. Overview & Operational Philosophy

FIHRI EDUCATION LIMITED (斐瑞教育有限公司, “Fihri”) maintains rigorous standards for all educators, mentors, and STEM trainers engaged across our private tutoring, admissions guidance, and school-based programmes. We firmly reject generic tutoring agency practices. Instead, we cultivate an academic community of dedicated subject specialists focused on conceptual mastery, intellectual independence, and student safeguarding.

2. Multi-Stage Screening Protocols

“Fihri works with carefully screened tutors and mentors. Depending on the role, screening may include identity verification, degree verification, references, teaching demonstrations, in-person assessment, and ongoing performance review.”

Our evaluation pipeline consists of the following verifiable phases:

  • 1. Identity & Legal Eligibility: Verification of identity documentation, permanent residency, or valid Hong Kong visa authorization permitting educational services.
  • 2. Academic Credential Verification: Verification of degree qualifications from accredited universities, academic transcripts, and relevant curriculum subject certifications (e.g. IB DP, Cambridge IGCSE, GCE A-Levels, HKDSE).
  • 3. Professional Reference Evaluation: Contacting previous academic supervisors, department heads, or school employers to confirm instructional competence and integrity.
  • 4. Pedagogical Teaching Demonstration: Live lesson delivery assessment evaluating concept deconstruction, communication poise, clarity, and adaptability to individual student needs.
  • 5. Child Safeguarding Assessment: Briefing on child protection protocols and submission of background disclosures, including the Hong Kong Police Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) protocol for roles involving direct contact with minors.

3. Academic Integrity & Anti-Ghostwriting Charter

Fihri adheres to strict academic ethics. All tutors, admissions mentors, and students are bound by our Anti-Ghostwriting and Academic Honesty Policy:

  • No Ghostwriting: Mentors will never write, draft, or complete essays, internal assessments (IA), extended essays (EE), coursework, or university personal statements on behalf of a student.
  • Authentic Student Voice: Mentors guide students to structure arguments, analyze mark schemes, brainstorm themes, critique drafts, and refine grammar while preserving the student's genuine reasoning and authentic voice.
  • No Examination Impersonation: Any request to sit assessments, complete online tests, or fabricate academic credentials on behalf of a student results in immediate, non-negotiable contract termination.

4. Professional Boundaries & Classroom Conduct

Educators engaged by Fihri must observe the following standards:

  • Punctuality & Preparation: Arrive punctually with bespoke lesson plans, diagnostic notes, and customized curriculum problem sets.
  • Safeguarding Protocol: Maintain strictly professional relationships. Never arrange private social meetings with minor students without parental knowledge and written presence.
  • Respect & Neutrality: Maintain an encouraging, respectful, and culturally sensitive learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, or proselytization.
  • Confidentiality: Treat all student academic diagnostic records, test scores, and family information as strictly confidential.

5. Contractor Governance & Operational Retainers

Tutors and workshop instructors are engaged as independent educational contractors and specialist retainers under formal written Service Agreements. Mentors maintain statutory self-employed tax compliance in Hong Kong and execute agreements establishing confidentiality, non-solicitation, and safeguarding adherence.

6. Ongoing Monitoring & Lesson Reporting

Quality assurance does not conclude at onboarding. Fihri maintains continuous oversight through:

  • Post-Lesson Reporting: Written feedback logs submitted after sessions summarizing concepts covered, homework assigned, and milestone progression.
  • Periodic Parent Check-Ins: Regular academic reviews conducted by our Academic Director to ensure student satisfaction and syllabus pacing.
  • Re-Assignment Policy: If a student-mentor rapport is not optimal, Fihri provides a seamless re-matching process to ensure optimal educational progress.

7. Institutional Compliance & Verification Framework

Fihri Education maintains an active internal compliance register documenting the status of all teaching contractors. Institutional partners and school clients may request our verified compliance summaries during tender and procurement evaluations.
