1. Scope of Institutional Services

These School Programme Terms and Conditions govern the provision of school-based STEM, artificial intelligence, robotics, and teacher professional development courses delivered by FIHRI EDUCATION LIMITED (斐瑞教育有限公司, “Fihri”) to primary, secondary, and through-train schools in Hong Kong.

2. Quotation, Invoicing & Procurement Procedures

School programmes are scoped collaboratively based on student cohort size, session count, technical equipment requirements, and customized learning outcomes:

  • Formal Quotation Required: Website descriptions and syllabus outlines do not constitute a fixed price contract. All fees, deliverables, hardware specifications, and payment milestones are finalized through an official written quotation and invoice issued by Fihri.
  • School Procurement Compliance: Fihri structures invoices, vendor declarations, and quotation documents to align with standard Hong Kong school procurement and tendering protocols (including School Management Committee or Incorporated Management Committee rules).
  • Payment Terms: Payment milestones (e.g. 50% deposit upon curriculum confirmation, balance upon post-programme evaluation delivery) are detailed in the official quotation.

3. Hardware & Equipment Ownership Options

Hardware Retention Terms:

Fihri offers schools flexible delivery models. Equipment ownership (such as ELECFREAKS Cutebot PRO smart vehicles, DFRobot HuskyLens AI vision sensors, BBC micro:bit microcontrollers, or PVC competition mats) is determined by the specific package selected in the written quotation:

  • Optional School-Retained Packages: Where the school opts for hardware purchase within the quotation, specified kits remain permanently on campus upon completion of the course for future classroom teaching.
  • Instruction-Only Packages: Where a school elects instruction-only delivery, all specialized equipment is provided by Fihri for workshop use and remains Fihri's property upon programme conclusion.
  • Hardware is not included unless explicitly confirmed in the signed quotation.

4. School Obligations & Classroom Supervision

To ensure optimal instructional delivery and student safety:

  • Facility Readiness: The host school is responsible for providing a suitable venue (e.g. computer room, STEM lab) with functioning computer terminals, USB connectivity, internet access (where required), and adequate power supply.
  • Teacher Presence: In accordance with Education Bureau guidelines, at least one school teacher, STEM coordinator, or authorized school personnel should remain present or readily accessible during all on-campus sessions to supervise student conduct.
  • Student Attendance Records: The school coordinates student registration and attendance rolls, which are countersigned in the post-programme evaluation report.

5. External Funding & Government Scheme Disclaimer

Mandatory Regulatory Disclosure Regarding Government & External Subsidies:

  • Fihri programmes are designed to support Hong Kong schools developing students' AI, coding, robotics, and digital-literacy capabilities.
  • Programme documentation can be prepared to support a school's internal planning, procurement, and reporting processes.
  • Schools should confirm current eligibility, permitted expenditure categories, and reporting requirements directly with the relevant funding scheme or authority (such as the EDB IT Innovation Lab scheme or school-based STEM grants).
  • Fihri Education Limited is an independent education provider and is not a government department, statutory body, or representative of the Hong Kong Education Bureau (EDB).
  • Fihri does not guarantee funding approval, subsidy eligibility, or grant disbursement. The participating school remains solely responsible for its own grant applications and administrative compliance.

6. Postponement, Rescheduling & Force Majeure

Schools may reschedule sessions with at least five (5) school days' advance written notice. Sessions impacted by Education Bureau mandated class suspensions, infectious disease controls, or Hong Kong Observatory Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warnings will be rescheduled without administrative penalty to mutually agreeable makeup dates.

7. Health, Safety & Institutional Liability

Fihri trainers follow rigorous workshop safety practices, including electrical safety protocols with low-voltage microcontroller hardware (3V–5V DC). Host schools maintain their customary campus public liability coverage for activities on school premises.
